RAM (Random Access Memory) for a computer is like your brain. RAM, or sometime is called memory is the place where the computer stores everything that you are currently working on. Whether you use PC memory, Apple Memory & MAC RAM, how it works is the same.

Recently I just did a 2gb Memory Upgrade on my old PC. This is the simplest way to get a better performance on your computer, and yet the most cost effective I guess.

Upgrading memory on our computer might be a problem sometime. People who want to have their RAM upgraded might have problem with the type memory to buy and install. For your information, if you didn’t already know, there are so many different types of RAM available in the market.

There are two main types of RAM that are used today, SDRAM and DDR. It is depending on what you are going to upgrade, whether PC3200 DDR400 SDRAM Upgrade or another type of memory upgrade. DDR speed is twice compared to SDRAM. If your motherboard is currently only have SDRAM slots, to upgrade with DDR you must get rid of the motherboard.
